the sabbagh family 20th April 2021

On behalf of the Sabbagh family In Memory Of My Father’s Friend Ramzi Sanbar RIP He was a man who’d patience, kindness Springing from his eyes, the way his smile Crept softly, deftly, softening and softening Its upward-way – two squeezed pillows now The champions of his face. And the cushions Of that crease were whiter, larger, wider than The melodic line that follows him, him, following, To his next residing place: that soft smile will style His timeless sojourn there with apt, pertaining Grace. Goodness is never done, never through With its goodly business, and so a finish like this Is not quite a finished finish…. Hapless with sorrow, Let us recollect him as he was himself, at his best – A passenger now, sliding slowly, softly into rest. By Omar Sabbagh, 20/04/2021
