Dear Ammo Ramzi,

It’s as though our families were meant to share a journey, a story. From the time that you and my father misspent a part of your schooldays together at the I.C in Lebanon, to the close friendship of both of your mothers: Um Daoud and Um Jihad, to the next generation and the one after that. The two schools that your daughter Diala and I attended together, the year off we enjoyed, followed by the university experience we shared. Sending each other respectively off into married life, the joy of becoming your grandson Kameron’s godmother and the friendship that has flourished between Diala and Tarek's family and my neighbouring parents. And the broader friendship between our siblings and their siblings. Ammo Ramzi & Aunty Hayat are at the heart of this tapestry and Ramzi’s soul and wonderful laugh will remain so, ever.
