Words can’t describe the sadness I feel for the passing of my beautiful Amo Ramzi. A kind, loving, and truly generous man. A real gentleman. My dad, Allah Yirhamo, loved seeing his brother every weekend for an afternoon coffee at their favorite place. He loved telling stories of “Ramouz” and their childhood. The few times I saw Amo Ramzi as an adult, I was awed by his kindness, generosity, and love of life. Most of all, I remember being struck by the fact that such an accomplished man was never boasting of his accomplishments, but rather, was conversing on the things that meant the most to him in life: his family. You would think he would brag about them like many parents do, but instead, he focused on their lives and their happiness. My heart goes out to Tante Hayat, my cousins, and their children for the void they must be feeling. Amo Ramzi will be missed and remembered with pride as someone to aspire to. Rest in Peace Amo, we love you, thank you for having been in our lives. xoxo Syma
