Dr. Sanbar brought a destroyed Ottoman Palace, the Cirigan, back to life as the Bosporus Kempinski Hotel.  This was one of many bold construction projects he completed in the emerging world.  At Cirigan, he hosted many esteemed international guests including EastWest Institute delegations.  Dr. Sanbar valued making the world a better place with cultural enrichment and driving economic progress for the betterment of the communities he worked in.  He was the embodiment of entrepreneurship and statesmanship.   I am honored and blessed to have known Dr. Sanbar. He was a friend and an inspiration to many.
